Mind and Body: Water Ai Chi and Floating Sound Healing Class

Thank you to our members for attending our Water Ai Chi and Floating Sound Healing Class on Wednesday, January 8. By combining these two classes, fitness instructors Deb and Jenny created a deeply calming session designed to promote holistic healing.

What is sound healing?

During the practice, participants float into a state of bliss as crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs and chimes create a sound healing experience. These soothing vibrations are known for their ability to relax the mind, enhance cellular healing and help you connect to a deep sense of peace.

What is Ai Chi?

Ai Chi is a flowing meditation performed in warm water, blending gentle, controlled movements with mindful breathing. This practice helps release tension, increase mobility and reduce stress while promoting overall physical, mental and emotional well-being. Participants are guided through 19 fluid poses that support healing in all areas of their lives.

The Ai Chi part of the class was led by Deb, while the Sound Healing portion of the class was led by Jenny. “Watching Deb teach and interact with her students was my favorite part of this class,” Jenny says of the session. “She is such an amazing teacher and relates to her students in such a loving, compassionate way. Her words are so inspiring.”

“I loved bringing the Ai Chi class to people who never experienced the focus and experience of preparing for healing,” says Deb. “I also loved performing the healing postures and then cultivating the chi, the healing.”
