We’re proud to announce that our Field Medical Integration Manager Monica Green is the 2019 MFA Central Region Rising Star!
The Medical Fitness Association (MFA), a non-profit organization, was formed in 1991 to assist medically-integrated health and fitness centers achieve their full potential. Each year, MFA certified facilities are nominated and recognized for Medical Fitness Facility and Professional of the Year awards. Awards were presented during the 28th Annual International Conference Awards Ceremony in Orlando, Florida. These awards celebrate and honor the best and the brightest in medical fitness center management.
Monica Green exemplifies excellence and has demonstrated outstanding individual achievement and significant leadership within the medical fitness community. Monica started as a fitness specialist and personal trainer, and quickly grew into the position of medical integration coordinator with the primary responsibility of coordinating and growing the Next Steps Fitness Programs™ at Delnor Health & Fitness Center.
Monica built a solid program foundation with the center staff so that the program was delivered with excellent service standards, open communication, and with quality control metrics that ensure a high level of program consistency. Monica has fostered relationships within the health system to raise awareness of the programs, build trust in the referral process, and to promote the excellent outcomes of the patients and members that participate in it. She has grown our program participation to over 500 new enrollees at Delnor Health & Fitness Center during our last Fiscal Year, with an 85% program completion rate. Monica’s relationships with the medical community have helped open new referral pathways, as well as contribute to a higher level of involvement and engagement on our Medical Advisory Committee.
In Monica’s current position of field medical integration manager with Power Wellness, she is providing leadership to multiple centers that are launching the Next Steps Fitness Programs™ to serve their patients and community members. With her excellent leadership and relationship building skills, she continues to contribute to the overall program growth and integration of medical fitness in the communities we serve.
